Materials you will need to bring to class:
•Discovering French Nouveau! Blanc (level 2) text and workbook.
•A three-ring binder with loose paper (dividers are optional) and folder.
• 3x5 index cards and a container
•Several colored pens- for correcting and taking notes.
•English /French Dictionary at home
French Grades:
Test and Quiz grades are earned through an absolute percentage scale. 100= A+
93-99 = A 78-79 = C+ 60-62 = D-
90-92 = A- 73-77 = C 0-59= F/
88-89 = B+ 70-72 = C- no credit
83-87 = B 68-69 = D+
80-82 = B- 63-67 = D
Guidelines:
1. All MPA rules will be followed in class. For example: dress code, absences, tardies, plagiarism, gum chewing...)
2. Try to speak as much français possible!
3. You must come to class prepared with books, notebooks and completed homework assignments. A late assignment will receive a reduction of 10% for each day it is late.
4. Tests and quizzes will be announced ahead of time. Look on the board under your class assignments, and check on the test calendar located on the MPA website. I will also post upcoming tests on Power school.
5. Please speak with me if you need help or have any questions or concerns.

Tests and quizzes= 35%
Homework= 10%
Participation= 10%
Oral work= 15%
Writing= 15%
Reading comprehension= 15%
