During chapter 6 and 7, we will work with fractions, ratios, and proportions, extending these into algebra. We will also work with mixture and work word problems.
During chapter 5, we will
continue working with monomials and polynomials, moving on to factoring
them.
During chapter 4, we will begin our study of polynomials.
During chapters 1-3, we will study order of operations, simplifying
expressions, and solving equations. We will have our first encounter
with word problems.
During chapters 11-12, we will study radicals (the mathematical kind, not the political kind) and revisit quadratic equations.
During chapter 10, we will work with inequalities and absolute values. We will solve inequalities and systems of inequalities, bringing together a number of ideas from earlier in the year.
