Using scheduled entries

|
There are three options when posting entries, published, unpublished and scheduled. The idea with scheduled entries is that you can post them but not have them posted until sometime in the future. To use this feature you would select scheduled from the status drop down menu. Then you need to pick a date and time that you want that entry to be published. The background process that controls this runs every hour on the hour. So if you schedule an entry for 10:05 a.m., it will not show up as published until 11 a.m. so keep this in mind.

Blogs system upgrade

|

The blogs system has been upgraded to Movable Type 4. Upgrades to template files will need to be made to take advantage of some new features. I will be addressing this in the next week.

Panthers is back online

|

The upgrade is complete and things should be back to normal now. Sorry for the inconvenience this past week.

We have iBook feet available

|

We now have replacement iBook feet available. Unfortunately we have to charge $.50 per foot to recoup the cost of ordering them. Stop in and pick up as many feet as you need.

Many of you may experience problems connecting from Dreamweaver to the Panther server while working at home. I have experienced this myself, an ftp setting seems to be causing this problem. Here is what you need to do to fix this issue:

  1. Open up Dreamweaver and go to Manage Sites, select your site and click the edit button.

  2. Select Remote Info from the list on the left side of the window.

  3. In the middle of this settings window you will see a check box for passive ftp, uncheck this.

That should do it. After that you should not have a problem uploading files from home.
