Storytelling summaries from Ms. Selb's class

|
As you know, the second graders have been working diligently, both at home and at school, on their storytelling techniques. In computer class yesterday, we used the program PhotoBooth to videotape short summaries of the stories they will be retelling on March 11th. To premise our video responses we also discussed what it means to give a summary.

ipad.jpgThe hype of the iPad has become much more than just hype at Mounds Park Academy. We are currently piloting a small group of iPads. Faculty members are in the process of testing the iPad to see what implications it has on the overall educational experience. As mobile devices mature and develop, so are the minds of the students we teach. Educators must adapt and ride the new wave of mobility.

Below are recent articles, blogs, videos and resources which speak to the reality of mobile computing and its affect on education. The process of deciding how to move forward with new technologies is a complicated one. Our goal is to move forward with a strong sense of purpose.
