Welcome to the Parent Group on Student Learning and the 2009-10 school year!
We are excited to be back!
This group is comprised of parents, learning specialists and administrators from the MPA community who are interested in how students learn. The group meets throughout the year and focuses on community resources and support that is available for students with learning differences. To find out more, contact one of the Learning Specialists, Robyn Kramer (PreK- 6th grade) or Patti Osman (grades 7-12).
We hope you were able to attend the presentation by Mary Sheedy Kurcinka on September 11th. We have received some positive feedback about the information shared. Because of this all school event, we did not have our first meeting in September.
We are going to be rotating our meeting schedule a bit this year. Our first meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 5, 2009 from 8:30-9:30 in room 130. We will spend some time getting acquainted and we will brainstorm for topics of interest. Be thinking about what you would like to learn more about or let us know if you have a resource to share. We are looking forward to seeing you!
